Martinelli's Sparkling Apple Cider Granita

Okay... only 17 days late.  Here is the dessert I made for New Years Eve this year.  100% kid friendly and only two ingredients.  Plus, it looks fancy.

It's not.  It's basically a slushie.

Don't tell anyone.

Martinelli's Granita

-3 cups Martinelli's non-alcoholic sparkling apple cider
-1/2 cup sugar

Combine cider and sugar and stir until sugar has dissolved completely.   Pour into an 8-inch square glass baking dish.  Place in the freezer until icy around the edges, about 1 hour.  Using a fork, scrape the icy shards towards the center of the dish.  Freeze again for another hour and again scrape the icy shards. Continue freezing and scraping until slushy throughout.  Place in small dishes and serve immediately.

To serve I like to pour a little bit of Martinelli's into my serving dish to give it back a little bit of sparkle.
